Helpful Hint:  Be sure that you have your essay written and your photos scanned or saved before you open the template.  Unless you have the full version of Adobe Acrobat, you won't be able to save your work.

 

 

Instructions for completing your entry:

1.  Choose the holiday you wish to share, and do some research on it. 

2.  Write a brief essay about your holiday.  Be sure your essay answers some or all of the following   questions:  What is the name of the holiday?  Is the holiday religious, or national\cultural?  What does the holiday celebrate or commemorate?  What special food are made for the occasion?  Are gifts exchanged?  Do people wear special clothing for the occasion?  Is the occasion solemn of festive?

3.  Get pictures of your family celebrating this holiday.  You can load digital photos, or you can scan standard photos or even your own drawings.

4.  Type your essay in the word processor of your choice.

5.  Open the Template, fill in the blanks, then paste in your essay and pictures.

6.  Paste in a picture of your nation's flag.

7.  Print your project and click on the Submit button to send your form.  We'll post it to the "Holidays around the World" web site.
